A year ago he surpassed the great Borg for most number of french open titles and today the king of clay Rafael Nadal made history , becoming the first man ever to win a slam 8 times . He bet his fellow countrymen David Ferrer 6-3 6-2 6-3 in 2 hours and 11 Min's .

It was very simple services games for Nadal and Ferrer , but first stop of the match came in 3rd game where David Ferrer made 3 continuous errors , that allowed Nadal to lead 2-1 . Right of in the next game , David came back with a strike forcing nadal to make errors and drawing the scoreboard 2-2 . It wasn't a perfect set from Nadal , not his best tennis there were errors from both Nadal and David Ferrer .

There were couple of stops in the match due to some protesting in the stands .
Nadal serve again was in trouble in the 5th game , Ferrer had 4 break points in this game , but Nadal all of a sudden raised his game by hitting forehand winners and backhand winners .

French Open 2013 Final Preview ;Battle of the Spainards ; Nadal vs Ferrer
It has all come down to this , the last two men standing ,The King of clay Rafael Nadal and iron man David Ferrer .
It has been a fairytale Return for Rafael Nadal who has reached his 9th final in his 9th tournament since his comeback and has an amazing record of 42-2 this year(including french open wins ).

Epic Nadal comes Through Novak in 5 sets ; Reaches 8th Rg final
" In times of difficulties there lies opportunities" , both these great players Novak and Rafael showed how to make use of the above quote .
We all thought it would been a classic , an epic semi final , well folks your wrong it was more than a normal grand slam semi final it was a like a real final . Both Novak and Rafa played phenomenal tennis and gave the crowd a sight of awing tennis .The king clay won over the world number 1 6-4 3-6 6-1 6-7 9-7. It was thus far Rafa best match at RG.
Set 1
It was full of focus right from the beginning of match as Novak and Rafa started strongly . First botheration came at the 5th game , where Rafa had produced 2 stunning forehand winners but later undid all the hard work by letting a bad return and a poor execution of a drop shot .On the 7th game again Novak serve was brought to deuce due errors from both playing sides and Nadal broke his serve to lead 4-3 .
Nadal finished the set strongly was a forehand off winner .
Set 2 .
Each service game had something special in it winners , unforced errors everything was there in it .
Novak was producing alot of unforced errors and his backhand wasn't top notch as well during the first half the 2nd set . Novak had 2 break point opportunities in the 8th game courtesy of a double fault from Rafa and the way he broke the game with thumping Forehand winner was absolutely Jaw dropping . It was easy finish by him with a good tactical volley and a forehand cross court winner .

Well nothing much to say ,in as Novak was Just playing old school tennis , showing a bit fatuousness in the set as Nadal raced to 5-0 ..Novak was still producing many unforced errors as much as 13 in this set . Nadal who had the chance to Bagel Novak was unable to as Novak started to find a bit of his own self.But that couldn't stop the powerful Spaniard in the taking the 3rd set 6-1 .

Nadal again broke novak in 11th game and had to chance to serve the match out and what do u except from Nole ? Well a comeback as usual . 3 stunning Forehand winners to make him to stay alive in the set .
Nole from there on in powered his way in the tie breaker winning 7-3

Nadal once told a reporter he doesn't mind playing any place let it be Wimbledon , Australian open , Barcelona , Paris he always wants to give his 100 % of his power till the very . The spectators were given the treat of their live as Nadal never gave once at the entire set as he playing at his very best by producing amazing forehand and backhand winners .Novak on the other was playing sublime tennis as well we could very less unforced errors from the Serb . The most important point of the match was when Novak serving 5-3 deuce and was running towards a volley and after hitting a clear winner of the volley and Serb ran into the net which cost him the point that he actually one . Nadal soon broke back in the ninth game courtesy of big forehand errors from the Serb .

Powerful Tsonga Surges Through Federer ;Meets Ferrer in the semis :
Sixth seed Tsonga made a huge upset against Roger Federer as he won the Swiss maestro 7-5 6-3 6-3 to reach his maiden French open semi final .
Set 1
Tsonga had started out with a mission , and he was able to make that mission possible at beginning of the set has he troubled Roger's first service game . How ever Roger Federer was the first to make a striking blood breaking the French at the 5h game courtesy of some good serving .But Roger could not capitalise on that advantage has a strung of forehand errors allowed Tsonga to Break back in the 8th game .
Point of the set was when Roger was serving 5-6 15-40 and Tsonga was just bursting heavy forehands , but of a sudden when Tsonga Approached the net Roger had produced a Magical backhand flick winner but all that hard was undone when he again made another of couple of unforced errors on his forehand side

French Open 2013 Quarterfinals Previews
After the round of 128-64-32-16 we have finally reach the last 8 of this tournament , we have seem epic matches played this year at RG13 . Lets us have look at the quarter final match ups

Nadal vs Wawrinka
Novak vs Hass

, Roger has now reached 36th consecutive quarter final appearances in the grandslam event while Tsonga has reached his 2nd consecutive Quarter final at RG13.
Tsonga will look a go a set further than last , lets not forget the heart breaker he had last against Novak where had 4 match points to win against the Serb .
Federer has a 65 % of winning and Tsonga has 30 % winning and rest 5 % well folks i ve no clue cause you except a good match .

Nadal seemed to be at his again at RG even though he had a couple of slow starts at the beginning rounds , Wawrinka broke the French people hearts after he came from 2 sets to love against Gasquet but it was an amazing come back from the Swiss who seem to be in his pinnacle form this year .

Novak has a 63 % of winning and Haas has a 37 % of winning .

David seemed to not have a single problem against any one this year has he literally scrapped through his opponents , he now meets he own Country men Tommy Robredo who reached his 5th quarterfinal appearance at RG .The Spaniard became the first man since 1927 to come back from two sets down for the third successive match in a Grand Slam . This will be my personal pick match of the quarter final list
, we already saw a classic of a Spaniard's match at the 4th round (Tommy vs Nicolas ) and you are definitely bound to see another one .
